Most people know iPhixx for phone and tablet repairs, but we also repair computers and laptops. We fix all makes and models, from MacBooks to Windows laptops and desktop PCs, and we have done it from our shop on South Bar Street in Banbury for over 13 years.
We quote on enquiry, so there are no fixed prices to guess at. Tell us the make, model and what is wrong and we will give you a clear price before any work starts.
We handle most laptop and computer faults, including:
This covers Windows laptops, desktop PCs and MacBooks. If it switches on, slows down, overheats or will not start, bring it in and we will take a look.
Not every job is a broken part. A lot of what we do is getting a computer working properly again:
We often fix laptops that other shops have written off. One customer was told by another shop that their MacBook needed a new logic board, which is an expensive job. When we looked, it only needed a new charging port. We fixed it for a fraction of the price. Before you buy a new machine, let us give you a second opinion.
If your laptop or MacBook will not start, your files are often still safe on the drive. We can recover documents, photos and other files from machines that no longer turn on, and move them onto a working computer or a backup drive for you.
Send us your laptop make and model and tell us what is wrong on WhatsApp, and we will reply with a price, usually the same day. If you would rather drop it in, the assessment is free and we will tell you what is wrong and what it will cost before we start.
Message us about a laptop repair
We are a small, independent shop rather than a national chain, so you deal directly with the person doing the work. We have completed thousands of repairs for people across Banbury and the surrounding towns, and a lot of our work comes from word of mouth, which means how we treat you matters to us as much as the repair itself. Whether it is a home laptop, a student machine or a computer you rely on for work, we will be straight with you about what is worth doing.
We repair desktop PCs as well as laptops, including slow or noisy machines, failed hard drives, power faults, and upgrades to add more speed or storage.
How long does a laptop repair take?
Many repairs are done the same day or next day. Parts we have to order, and bigger jobs like liquid damage, take a little longer, and we will always give you a timescale up front.
Is it worth repairing an old laptop?
Often yes. A new battery or an SSD upgrade can give an older laptop several more years for far less than a new machine. We will tell you honestly if we think it is not worth it.
Will I lose my files?
Most repairs do not touch your data. If a job carries any risk to your files we will tell you first, and we can back them up before we start.
Do you fix MacBooks?
Yes. See our MacBook repair in Banbury page for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Repairs are backed by a warranty for peace of mind, and we will explain the cover for your specific repair.
We are open Monday to Thursday 10am to 4pm and Friday 10am to 3pm, at 6 South Bar Street, Banbury. We also serve Bicester, Brackley, Leamington and the surrounding area.
